Reservations for restaurants in Budapest used to be difficult for many tourists to make. There were two reasons for this. One reason was the language barrier that so often exists between foreigners and native Hungarians, because even when a Hungarian waiter or receptionist speaks English, there might be differences in that person’s accent or vocabulary that make it hard to understand them over the phone. The second reason was that it was hard to find out about good restaurants anyway, so tourists were left to walk up and down Vaci Utca, paying too much money for bad food because they didn’t know any better.
But TableFree.hu is a new Budapest restaurants reservations service. The owners and designers of the site wanted to provide a service that would allow foreign visitors to learn about a wide variety of Budapest restaurants from the comfort of their own computers.
TableFree lets visitors find out about Budapest restaurants by searching based on price, location, and/or cuisine. The system currently boasts around 100 restaurants that are all over the city, covering all kinds of cuisines and price points. Some Budapest restaurants on TableFree were previously known only to locals, like Csalogato Vendeglo, Gyradiko Taverna, and Nancsi Neni. Others, like Busulo Juhasz, Nobu Budapest, and Spoon, are already well-known Budapest dining destinations.
The system’s designers were quick to point out that the system isn’t only designed for tourists. The whole site can be viewed in either Hungarian, English, or German, because the site is intended to make the reservation process quicker and easier for local Hungarian diners as well.

President Barack Obama may have hit on a novel method of raising money for his upcoming re-election bid: raffling off a casual dinner with some lucky supporters who might spend as little as five dollars for the chance to dine with the leader of the free world.
A recent mass email sent by the Obama campaign to its supporters says the campaign will “pay for your flight and the dinner” if a donor is chosen to eat with the President. The campaign letter promises that the dinner will be an informal affair, free of lobbyists and other political players. The letter invites the winning donors to bring their own policy ideas to the dinner discussion.
The letter invites potential donors to donate a minimum of five dollars.
The email makes no mention of recent fund-raising events the Obama campaign has held with more traditional, high-profile political donors from Wall Street and Hollywood, who typically spend more than five dollars for a chance to speak with the President.

Following a two-year period with very little to shout about cumulatively, Motorola and the Sprint network have once again joined forces and appear to be back with a vengeance. The first tangible result of the partnership comes by way of the Android-based Motorola Photon 4G, but the pair have already announced no less than ten more mobile devices to come before the end of 2011.
Rolled out at a press conference this week, the Photon 4G was first allowed into the hands of press and industry peers alike – all of whom were equally keen to put the ne Smartphone through its paces.
Conceptually, the Photon in rather similar to Motorola’s other offering by way of the Atrix 4G – that being a unit that is part phone and part computing device in equal quantities. By placing the Photon into an additional optional HDMI dock, it is transformed into a modest computer system that can drive large screens or TVs, as well as connect to a keyboard and mouse. What is missing in this case is the optional laptop dock created for the Atrix that turns that particular unit into a fully functional notebook.
In a nutshell, the Photo provides an excellent degree of flexibility for any user looking to work and play in equal amounts. It may not have all the proverbial bells and whistles by comparison to a number of other Smartphone son the market, but certainly makes up for anything it lacks by way of versatility and flexibility.

A somewhat ‘below the surfce’ peek into the code of Apple’s new iOS 5 software has suggested that there may be two new iPad 3 releases already in the pipeline, according to a number of industry tech sources. While delving into the code files for USB devices within the software, references were discovered to an iPad 3.1 and iPad 3.2.
The current iPad is internally identified as separate models depending on connectivity, therefore the rumors now doing the rounds point to the new iOS 5 codes indicating a Wi-Fi and a cellular version of the iPad 3. It was noted, however, that no mention was made of any new iPod touch device that has traditionally seen a September upgrade – thereby adding fuel to the fire that September will instead be the month of the iPhone 5.
There are mentions within the iOS 5 code of two new and currently unknown iPhone models, those being the iPhone 4.1 and the iPhone 4.2, but such references have been cast off as largely insignificant as they are reported to have already been uncovered in the code for iOS 4.3 earlier this year.
Of course, it is always essential to bear in mind that such references do not specifically guarantee the materialization of new products, as was proven by the mention of an iPhone 3.2 during an earlier iOS code that subsequently failed to see the light of day.

Apple’s annual WWDC conference in Chicago become something of a showcase for the upcoming iCloud and iOS 5 releases – both of which are set to somewhat revolutionize the use of Apple products both present and future. However, it was rather difficult to avoid the absence of even the remotely faintest inclusion of hardware or even hints thereof, leaving many to question how far Apple can safely push those looking to make an imminent purchase decision regarding Smartphones.
The theory is that iPhone 4 users will have little trouble in awaiting a delayed iPhone 5 release date, even into next year, as iOS 5 is set to transform 4th generation units into almost entirely different animals altogether. However, in the case of iPhone 3 owners waiting with baited breath to upgrade, ever-stretched patience may result in an exodus toward the Android camp.
According to Apple and indeed the sample demonstrations provided, iOS 5 holds all the potential in the world to be a truly revolutionary upgrade, but the simple fact of the matter is that 99% of anticipation and speculation rests with the hardware required to use the software to its full potential.
